Lunchtimes and Snack times

Lunch

We are delighted to announce that we are changing our catering supplier from 1 April 2024.

Our current contract with North Yorkshire Catering will end, and we will begin with Hutchison Catering. Our new provider will supply a range of tasty, nutritious, and healthy balanced meals for our children using fresh ingredients. We are looking forward to seeing a new and improved service for our students.

Please see the menu below for the summer term. For now, the infant meal of the day will be the main option.

All children in Reception, Year one and Year two are entitled to a free school meal each day. As the children progress up to Year 3 meals are charged at £3.20 per day or £16 per week. Meals can be paid for via ParentPay. You will need a log-in which can be obtained from the school office.

During lunchtimes, Reception-Year 2 children are served their dinner by a grown-up. Year 3-Year 6 will choose and collect their food themselves from the servery with assistance from the Catering Staff and Midday Supervisory Assistants.

All children have the opportunity to join in with ‘special meals’ such as Christmas dinner and Easter lunch.

If you think your child is entitled to Free School Meals, please click here to visit the application form.

Dietary Requirements

If your child has any dietary requirements, please see the school office, and they will arrange a meeting with Mrs Martin, our school cook, to discuss your needs.

Please find a form below which can be completed and given to the school office. Hard copies are available at the office also.

Snacks, Fruit and Milk in School

A carton of milk is available for all children until the child's 5th birthday. This is free of charge to you as a parent. Once your child is 5 years old, milk is available to purchase for a small fee payable at the beginning of each term through Cool Milk. Please see the attached letter here for more information.

Fruit is also available at snack times for all Reception to Year 2 students.
