Groups
Monday Club
Monday Club is there for those children that struggle with the weekend transition from home to school routine! A biscuit and juice and a chance to chat or chill helps the children have a more relaxed entry into class.
Homework club
Homework club takes place in the hub for Upper Key Stage 2. Time is given to those that need either space or support with their maths learning.
Saltergate Young Carers Group
Saltergate Young Carers Group meet in the hub fortnightly to share experiences and have fun together – creating a group that each other can rely on within school. Self-management group is a safe place where children can discuss situations that they feel are unfair or got out of hand (at school or at home) and can be thought about from a different point of view to try to aid understanding and hopefully warrant a different reaction next time!
‘Robins’
‘Robins’ is a group for those children that have lost a parent. We have a number of children in this situation in school and the children get comfort from knowing others share their situation. 1:1 pastoral care is given in the Hub – we have a lovely comfortable space with weighted blankets and comfy chairs to choose from! We have lots of books and games to share with children to allow them time to talk to us.
Time to talk
Time to talk – this is an intervention to support speaking and listening, and we help groups from EYFS and KS1 with this in the hub!
Parents Coffee morning
Coffee mornings are enjoyed periodically. Come to chat with other Saltergate parents and our staff.
