We are delighted that your child has been offered a place at our school from September 2024. For those joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to welcome you to our Saltergate community and for those in Discovery Learning, we are very happy that you will be carrying on with your Saltergate journey! 

Our EYFS team is well established, highly qualified and truly dedicated - we work together as class teachers and support staff and everyone takes a shared responsibility for the children’s development and happiness. 

Our aim is to nurture children and to enable them to meet their full potential through a rich and creative curriculum. We will send further communications using the contact details which you used to complete the application through North Yorkshire. If your contact details change in the meantime, please do let the school office know and we will update our records.

Parent Welcome Meeting 

We would like to invite you to a meeting at 6pm on 3 June 2024 where you can meet the EYFS Team and find out more information about the September start and our curriculum. This meeting is for parents only and is not suitable for children. Please come to the main school entrance where we will welcome you.

Settling in Sessions

We are inviting all of our new starters into school for some transition sessions. These are on the following days and sessions below. Please book using the form here. Please can this be completed by Monday 24 June. Please note that if your child is timetabled to be in Discovery Learning on either the 10^th or 11^th July afternoons, they will automatically go to a transition session and there is no need to book.

• Settling in session 1: Tuesday 25^th / Wednesday 26^th / Thursday 27^th June. They are all at 3.30-4.15pm. This is for parents/carers and children.
• Settling in session 2: Wednesday 10^th July / Thursday 11^th July. These will be at 1.30-3pm.  This is for children only.
• Settling in session 3: Tuesday 3rd September. Please choose either 9.30-11am or 1.30-3pm. This is for children only.

Following the 3rd September, the next sessions are for all children and will be as follows:

• ALL children in Wednesday 4^th September - 9-11am. 
• ALL children in Thursday 5^th September - 9-12.30pm.
• ALL children in Friday 6^th September all day, 9-3.20pm.
